M A U D (Markham Architecture + Urban Design) is an Architecture and Urban Design practice based in Auckland.
Our work ranges from bespoke residential projects, to work space and hospitality fit outs, to masterplanning and the preparation of design guidelines.
At M A U D, we’re passionate about design and delight in finding elegant solutions to complex issues. Creative thinking, attention to detail and functional performance are the basis for everything we do.
We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients and have a broad range of skills that can manage your project from first inception to the completion of the construction process.
M A U D was established by Natasha Markham (Registered Architect, ANZIA, BAS, BArch [Hons] MUrbDes[Hons] ) in 2015. Natasha’s portfolio includes bespoke houses, apartments, as well as large scale housing development she worked on while in the UK. Natasha has also worked as an urban designer for both local government and the private sector.
She is skilled in urban analysis, masterplanning, and the preparation of guidance documents, and has also been involved in high level, strategic planning and visioning projects, at a city-wide scale. Natasha is a current member of both the Auckland Urban Design Panel and the Hobsonville Design Review Panel. In her spare time, Natasha co-hosts New Zealand's best (by virtue of being the only) architecture podcast, 76 Small Rooms.
MAUD is an New Zealand Institute of Architects practice member.
